The ancient Greeks were the primary people to have showers. Their aqueducts and sewage programs made from lead pipes allowed water to be pumped both into and out of large communal bathe rooms utilized by elites and common residents alike. These rooms have been discovered at the website of the city Pergamum and can be discovered represented in pottery of the era. The depictions are similar to modern locker room showers, and even included bars to hang up clothing. His bathe contraption used a pump to drive the water into a vessel above the consumer's head and a series would then be pulled to launch the water from the vessel.
